Is InfoGate really free to start?

Yes. The free plan lets you create up to 1,000 notes with tags, linking, search, dark mode and export — no credit card required.

What do I get with Premium?

Premium raises your limit to 5,000 notes and adds priority support, for $100 CAD per year billed through PayPal.

How do I pay, and is it secure?

Payments are handled entirely by PayPal — we never see your card details. You can pay with a PayPal balance, bank account or card.

Can I export my notes?

Absolutely. Export any note or your whole library as Markdown, JSON or PDF at any time. Your data is never locked in.

What is the difference between plain, Markdown and rich text?

Plain text is fastest for quick capture. Markdown lets you add structure with simple symbols. Rich text gives you a visual editor with formatting buttons. You choose per note.

Is my data private?

Your notes are visible only to you. Passwords are hashed, and the app uses prepared statements and input sanitization throughout.

Can I use InfoGate in French?

Yes — the whole interface is bilingual. Use the EN / FR switch in the header, or set your preferred language in your account.

What happens if I cancel Premium?

You keep access until the end of your paid period, then return to the free plan. Your notes remain safe; you simply cannot exceed the free limit until you upgrade again.
